Runtime and Capacity Selection
A planning estimate for the 158Wh model is approximately 3.4–5.4 hours under the assumptions below. This is a calculation, not a runtime guarantee.
Planning estimates use rated capacity × 85% assumed usable energy ÷ 25–40W load. The 85% figure is a calculation assumption, not a measured battery efficiency. Starlink lists average Mini consumption of 25–40W. Actual runtime varies with settings, signal conditions, temperature and battery age. See Starlink Mini specifications.

Charging and Installation
Use the specified charger or a compatible solar setup within the input range. Check the charger, connectors and panel output before connecting. Do not assume that any Starlink adapter or USB-C power supply can charge this battery.
- Follow the product manual to check battery level and turn the battery on.
- Align the mounting latch and dedicated connection with Starlink Mini, then slide the battery into place.
- Place the setup on a stable surface. Close unused port covers.
- Use the release clip to remove the battery before packing.
Battery Documents and Flight Planning
Request the specifications and available UN38.3 transport test information, MSDS, FCC documentation and UL2743 test report for this model. Ask us to confirm the applicable documents for your destination. A UL2743 test report is not a UL Listed claim; transport documentation does not provide airline passenger approval.
The 158Wh capacity falls in the FAA 101–160Wh range, which requires airline approval. Request approval before travel and carry it in your cabin baggage with terminals protected. Airlines may apply additional limits. See FAA passenger battery guidance.
